Ehsaas Program jobs 2021
The Ehsaas Program is a Pakistani government-led poverty alleviation and welfare initiative that was launched in March 2019. This, according to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, is a huge step in terms of the welfare state pledged by the Pakistan People’s Party (PTI) in its election manifesto. The goal is to improve the country’s backward districts, backward classes, reducing inequality, and investing in the masses. A new ministry was established inside the Ministry of Social Welfare and Poverty Reduction, led by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Sania Nishtar, who was also the chairman of the Benazir Income Support Program.
Pillars of Ehsaas Program:
By 2021, the Ehsaas plan have two primary pillars in place: Ehsaas Emergency Cash (which started during the Covid19 pandemic) and Ehsaas Kafalat, which will increase coverage from 7 million to 10 million people. Imran Khan’s primary recovery program during the Covid19 pandemic is the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Plan. The World Bank has recognized it as an essential worldwide social safety measure, suggesting that the actual coverage matches the high-ranking coverage that was predicted. During the outbreak, the welfare program helped millions of low-income Pakistani families by offering monthly scholarships to 13.2 million people.
The Ehsaas plan, which is based on the Pakistan Constitution and strives to create a “welfare state,” is the country’s premier social security plan. Establishing a precise safety measure, promoting financial inclusion and access to digital services, assisting women in achieving economic empowerment, focusing on the critical role of human capital formation in poverty eradication, economic growth, and long-term development, and overcoming barriers to health care and higher education are all part of this strategy. Financial restraints obstruct education. By revising the constitution, the administration promised to make food, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care essential rights and national obligations.
The poorest people, orphans, widows, the homeless, the disabled, persons at danger of medical poverty, the unemployed, poor farmers, workers, the sick, and the undernourished, as well as low-income students and poor women and women, are targeted by the program. The elderly assist others. The plan also intends to eradicate the poorest and most backward regions.
Structure of the Program:
On March 27, 2019, the federal government formally launched Ehsaas. It refers to a variety of social security programs aimed at improving public safety. The country’s poverty-reduction program is organized into four primary directions, with 134 political measures in place. Ehsaas Emergency Cash during the Covid pandemic, Ehsaas scholarship, Ehsaas women’s cash assistance are the main initiatives. Currently, the Benazir income assistance program is run by the poverty reduction and welfare organization.
The Ehsaas initiative was deemed a success by both national and international experts. This has resulted in good developments and is now regarded as a global poverty-reduction model. The World Bank’s backing for the initiative doubled as it advanced, making it a role model for other countries. The Ehsaas emergency cash program successfully safeguarded the poor afflicted by the bull market and daily gambling during the country’s COVID19 pandemic by paying cash. Dr. Saniya Nishtar is credited with being the main factor behind the project’s success.
